How to buy bitcoin in El Salvador

Now you can transfer money from your Bank account to Blink.

Operating times:

Monday to Friday: 8 am - 5 pm CST

Saturday: 8 am - 12 pm CST

1. Open the Blink app and tap the price graph icon on the top left

2. Tap Buy and sell bitcoin on the bottom of the screen
‍

3. Choose the country where your bank account is and tap the Buy Bitcoin button (currently available in El Salvador, with more options and locations coming soon)

4. Enter the amount to buy in USD

5. Confirm your email to be used to send your order details to (this is auto-filled if you have an email set for the account) and tap Create order

6. The bank transfer details will be presented on this screen (always check the exact details)

7. Bank-initiated payments to Blink may take 1 hour to 1 day for processing. You'll receive a notification when the order is complete, and the bitcoin will be available in your Blink wallet.

Your account ID is needed to place an order. This can be obtained in two ways:

Copy the Account ID from the Blink App:

Tap the menu on the upper right of the screen
Tap `Account`
Copy `Your Account ID`

Log in or create a new account with a phone number at dashboard.blink.sv
Click on the profile icon on the top right
Copy the Account ID from the pop-up.
